Meditation Exercise: Heart-Brain Balance: 3 Minute Exercise to Connect with Your Higher Self

This is one of the most powerful, short and highly effective meditations that always brings me and my clients to center when we feel stressed.

  • Bend your head gently with chin to chest and smile into your heart.
  • Place your hand on your heart.
  • Breathe from your heart. Use long deep breaths, 5 secs for inhalation and 5 secs for exhalation.
  • Ask your brain to show you images of anyone or anything when you quietly say to your heart: Appreciation, Gratitude, Care and Compassion.
  • Feel the feeling..This is Presence. This is Love..the most powerful remover of fears, anxieties, worry anything that diminishes you.
  • Stay in this heart felt space for 5 mins. Keep practicing a couple of times throughout the day.
  • Act, Speak, or creatively come up with solutions only from this heart space.

When you stop for even a few minutes to do this exercise, you suddenly notice all of the nervous energy and frenzied thinking that has been stressing you out. It’s so natural to let go. As easy as breathing with awareness. As you practice being in charge of your negative thoughts and emotions, you begin to infuse positive energies of appreciation, gratitude, care and compassion in your relationships and in your life.
